Giving Tree Project

Sacred Heart Parish and My Brother's Keeper (MBK) successfully joined hands last Christmas to respond to needy families in more than 92 communities. As a result of the efforts of Sacred Heart Parish and other parishes in the area, My Brother's Keeper was able to respond to 3006 families consisting of 12,192 children and adults with at least 3 gifts for each family member. The response from Sacred Heart Parish was and is truly awesome.

Giving Tree GiftsPlease note a very important change!
Once again this year we will be modifying the way we handle the gift giving program. Instead of wrapping the gift(s) we ask that you use gifts bags or leave the gifts "unwrapped" and MBK will distribute all the gifts donated to fulfill the needs of the many people requesting assistance this year. Please know that every gift donated will be delivered to a needy child or adult according to the ornament scheme listed below.
Each ornament on the Giving Tree will represent an individual gift or gifts and every ornament will be color coded for easy identification of the sex/age group. Ornaments will be available for pickup on the weekends of 11/27 through the weekend of 12/11.

Please note:
All gifts must be returned no later than 12/11 by the 10:00 Mass, earlier if possible. When returning gifts, please be sure to attach the original ornament to the gift. The color coding should make it easier to choose the ornament of preference.

The codes are as follows:

  • PINK ornaments will be for GIRLS 12 years old or younger.
  • BLUE ornaments will be for BOYS 12 years old or younger.
  • GREEN ornaments will be for TEENAGERS.
  • RED ornaments will be for ADULTS.
  • ORANGE ornaments will be used for the Turkey Donations.

As always, we are looking for people who are willing to sponsor an ENTIRE family.
If you would like to sponsor a family please call: My Brother's Keeper at 508.238.7512 .

If you select a TURKEY ornament, simply follow the instructions on the back of the ornament.

For those unable to contribute, your prayers for the success of the "Helping Hands" mission will be greatly appreciated.
